announce that we were selected as the winners of the
2005 SAFECO
Minority Best Business Practice Award.
SAFECO
Corporation and the Urban Enterprise Center of the Greater Seattle Chamber
Of Commerce created this award in 1997 to support minority owned
businesses that have demonstrated strong management skills, evidence of
growth and employing residents of the community, good financial management
and profitability and the ability to provide assistance to the other
business in the community.
We were
selected from nomination of the UW Business and Economic Development
Program for our outstanding contribution to the economic development in
Seattle’s Urban Communities.

The Urban Enterprise Center, Safeco and The Greater Seattle Chamber of
Commerce have provided me with such an unexpected privilege, I encourage,
my employees and individuals who have the same goals, to continue on their
quest of entrepreneurship. With acceptance of this award, I will also
upheld my responsibilities to be a mentor to other minority owned
business. I will encourage my associates to allow themselves opportunities
to be a part of organizations and among professionals that are gathered
here today. Strive to be apart of programs that are designed to assist you
not only achieve but exceed your goals, like The University of Washington
Business and Economic Development program , the rewards will be endless. I
will continue on my path to improve my business and “Set the Foundation
for a Future in Residential and Commercial Carpet Care.”
In
closing, I would like to extend my gratitude to the numerous corporations
who have made organizations like the Urban Enterprise Center possible. The
Urban Enterprise Center for its continued support to promotes further
economic development in urban communities, Safeco whose dedication to
professionalism is insurmountable and The Greater Seattle Chamber of
Commerce vision to advocate, develop and connect with businesses and
